Here in Deadwood SD, the Aspen have started turning gold. So lovely!

My boyfriend and I took a nice road trip to Custer State Park last weekend. There was a lot of rain late into the summer, so the hills stayed pretty green. Usually, things are a bit brown late in summer but it seemed pretty lush this year.

Saw lots of antelope which is always nice – they’re my favorite. 

The buffalo roundup isn’t until September 29th, so there were plenty of buffalo in the backcountry too. The herds look strong with lots of young.

I’m trying to take time to enjoy the season and I hope you are too.

Autumn is a beautiful time of year whether you live in the city or the country, but it always seems too short, so be sure to get out there and enjoy it while you can.
