This antique roses washi tape features roses from original antique bookplates.
Prior to modern printing methods, books featured detailed antique engravings that were individually colored and finished by hand.
This technique was a lot of work, but the resulting bookplates are works of art. Today, these plates are often matted, framed and sold as high-end art.
The delicate flowers are intricately detailed and rendered in very soft shades of pink and white.
And, since this antique roses washi tape is based on original antique works, each flower plate has aged edges and foxing for an authentic aged look.
At 35mm wide, this is a wider-than-average washi tape.
