Prior to modern printing methods, books featured detailed antique engravings that were individually colored and finished by hand.
This technique was a lot of work, but the resulting bookplates are works of art. Today, these plates are often matted, framed and sold as high-end art.
These flowers are intricately detailed and rendered in a pretty mix of styles and colors.
